Hyphens, dashes, endashes and emdashes v underscores

Hyphens, dashes, en-dashes and em-dashes v underscores are troubling me again. After all these years I am still not happy with the common consensus that hyphens are best - grammatically it’s a poor way to write URLs and there are accessibility issues. I think Google have got this wrong.

I will be writing an indepth article on this subject again soon.
