Articles - Model Railways

I have been interested in model railways since I was a small boy. My parents gave me a three rail Marklin set. when I was a little older a friend had an N gauge layout but his father was scratch building an Isle of Man layout - very inspiring. Later in my teens holidays to North Wales meant I was subsumed into the narrow gauge. I bought a few kits and dabbled a bit and then college, girls and beer got in the way. When I reached 40 I decided to engineer my own mid-life crisis and visited the ExpoNG exhibition and was totally hooked, as many are on revisiting a childhood passion.

These articles are my forays into narrow gauge modelling, mostly 4mm scale 009 but I hope to add 7mm scale O14 at some point.
